Kurt Tjaden is the Chair of Koley Jessen’s Tax Practice Group and a senior member of the firm’s Estate and Business Succession Planning Practice Group. He counsels clients on their personal estate planning objectives and business succession planning objectives. Kurt has advised and represented individuals and businesses in tax controversies before the IRS. He advises clients on tax strategy for business and personal use. Additionally, he advises clients on general corporate matters. He has also served as an Estate and Business Planning Seminars instructor at the University of Nebraska College of Law. Kurt has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and earned his law degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Kurt has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America (© Woodward/White Inc.) since 2008, for his work in the area of Trusts and Estates.
