Roberta Christensen is the Chair of Koley Jessen’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and a member of the Tax Practice Group. Roberta’s accounting background enables her to counsel clients with respect to sales and use tax matters, particularly nexus planning, and to serve as the Firm’s Treasurer. Roberta counsels clients on the protection of their U.S. and foreign intellectual property assets and provides services associated with such protection, including researching and providing opinions on the availability and/or registrability of trademarks; filing and prosecuting trademark and copyright registration applications; policing trademarks for infringing uses; and addressing actual or potential infringement of intellectual property through cease-and-desist letters and other dispute resolution mechanisms. Roberta also assists clients with respect to the commercialization of their intellectual property assets through the performance of due diligence in pending acquisitions and the drafting and negotiating of various types of transactional documents including licenses, assignments, sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements and supplier and distributor agreements.
