Within his health law practice, Rick advises health care professionals on all aspects of operating a health care business, from advising clients on entity selection, formation and governance to the periodic sale, dissolution or merger of a medical practice. Rick regularly advises clients on health care-related contractual matters, including employment, independent contractor, physician compensation, confidentiality, buy-sell and personal services agreements. Rick also advises health care clients on joint ventures, real estate and equipment leasing, asset protection, privacy and security matters, and all aspects of regulatory compliance. Within his employment law and labor relations practice, Rick advises clients on all aspects of employment-related contractual matters, including employment, executive compensation, confidentiality, noncompetition, and separation or severance agreements. Rick counsels clients on executive compensation issues, tax matters, employee training and all areas of employment regulation including the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Older Workers Benefit Protection Act, Title VII, and others.
