Our Team Daniel J. FischerKoley Jessen P.C., L.L.O. Dan is a shareholder who practices in Koley Jessen’s Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Health Law practice groups. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, including intellectual property disputes, health law litigation, media law, construction matters, and general business disputes. Dan joined Koley Jessen in 2004 after practicing with an insurance defense firm for several years. From 1999-2001, Dan was a law clerk for the Honorable Edward E. Hannon with the Nebraska Court of Appeals, during which time he also worked as an adjunct professor of legal writing at the University of Nebraska College of Law. Representative Experience Dan has represented clients in state and federal courts across the country, both at the trial and appellate court levels. He has represented individual and corporate clients in contract disputes, commercial landlord and tenant issues, employee dishonesty/theft matters, construction liens, construction defect cases, liability matters, and insurance. With respect to intellectual property law, he represents clients in trademark, copyright, and patent cases, and he frequently represents clients in trademark registration disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the US Patent and Trademark Office. When prosecuting or defending a trademark or copyright infringement claim, he works closely with clients to develop early strategies to manage both business and litigation interests. In health law, Dan represents the firm’s medical clients in litigation, responding to subpoenas for testimony and documents, and administrative licensing matters.
