Matt Speiker is a member of the firm’s Banking, Finance and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group and the Business/General Counsel Practice Group. Matt regularly advises borrowers, lenders and creditors in commercial loan transactions, workouts and foreclosure actions. He also advises lenders with respect to state and federal regulatory matters, and advises businesses in connection with issues surrounding the current global downturn, including cash management strategies and mitigation of risk from bank failures. In Matt’s work with the Business/General Counsel Practice Group, he advises businesses in a variety of commercial transactions and also represents companies and/or principals in connection with: entity selection and formation; restructurings and reorganizations; the issuance and transfers of business interests; corporate governance/fiduciary duty issues; legal compliance and changes in the law; entity owner disputes (pre-litigation); and third party commercial disputes (pre-litigation).

• Represented public and private companies in loan transactions ranging from $100,000 to $330,000,000
• Represented private companies in orderly liquidations and pre-bankruptcy planning
