Our Team Kristin M.V. FarwellKoley Jessen P.C., L.L.O. Kristin Farwell primarily practices in the area of general litigation. She represents clients throughout the course of a legal dispute, from once a lawsuit is filed until the dispute is settled or judicially resolved. This process includes drafting complaints and answers, participating in the discovery process, negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, motion practice, pretrial and trial practice, and appellate work. She has experience litigating cases in Nebraska state court, as well as federal courts throughout the United States. In particular, she has represented clients in complex construction disputes and in federal government investigations, including a federal antitrust investigation. Kristin specializes in the area of electronic discovery and records management. In recent years, federal and state courts have begun developing standards that govern how businesses store, collect, and produce vast amounts of electronically stored information (“ESI”) in litigation. She has been involved with various e-discovery issues, including negotiating standards for the identification, preservation and collection of relevant ESI; working with businesses to implement litigation holds on ESI, and identifying and collecting relevant ESI; working with electronic discovery vendors to manage the processing and production of ESI; and managing large-scale electronic document reviews and productions that involve millions of documents.
