James Cann maintains an active litigation, trial, and dispute resolution practice at Koley Jessen. Businesses and individuals frequently look to him to take charge of the defense or prosecution of civil lawsuits filed in state and federal courts. He has significant trial experience in both jury and bench trials, and in appellate cases before the Nebraska Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. He has successfully resolved cases, either by trial, mediation, or arbitration, involving contracts, negligence, fraud, product liability, insurance, bankruptcy issues, probate, real estate, and complex family law matters. In addition, he regularly represents commercial and residential property owners in tax valuation protests and appeals and has obtained hundreds of thousands of dollars in property tax savings for his clients.
