Clark Youngman Earns Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy Designation

| Firm News

Clark Youngman, Shareholder at Koley Jessen, has been awarded the designation of Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) by The American College of Financial Services. Through the year-long program, lawyers, financial advisers, and nonprofit professionals learn to help clients explore and discover the legacies they will leave their families and community.

The CAP Program, which is facilitated through the Omaha Community Foundation, enhances collaboration that leads to a strong philanthropic impact in Omaha. Through the integration of the legal, financial, and nonprofit professions, the program promotes an interdisciplinary approach to help clients most effectively achieve estate planning, wealth management, and charitable goals.

Candidates for the program must attend 15 classes and successfully complete three graduate-level courses. These courses cover planning for philanthropic impact in the context of family wealth, charitable giving strategies and plans, and gift planning in a nonprofit setting. After completing the program in January 2023, Clark joins Koley Jessen Shareholders Brandon Hamm, Alex Wolf, and James Tews in obtaining this designation.

Clark advises clients on estate planning, estate administration, and business succession planning. Clark’s estate planning services range from preparing wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance directives to implementing sophisticated wealth transfer techniques to help minimize the impact of gift, estate, and generation-skipping taxes. Additionally, Clark works with business owners to develop and implement succession plans for their businesses.
