Koley Jessen Expands Corporate Depth with Addition of Shareholders Troy Meyerson and Adam Charlsen

| Firm News

Koley Jessen is pleased to announce that Troy Meyerson and Adam Charlsen have joined the firm as Shareholders in the Corporate Department, bringing significant experience in transactional law, real estate, regulatory compliance, and strategic advisory services.

Alex Wolf, President of Koley Jessen, shared his enthusiasm about the new additions to the team: “Both bring extensive experience, a client-first mindset, deep technical knowledge, and practical solutions that will immediately benefit our team and our clients. They’re a great cultural fit, and align incredibly well with our firm’s strategic vision.”

Troy Meyerson brings over two decades of legal experience advising clients in the areas of corporate law, M&A, real estate, energy, and internet/e-commerce. He regularly serves as outside general counsel to a broad range of businesses, from startups to national corporations, guiding them through business formation, operational matters, contract negotiation, shareholder relations, and strategic transactions.

In the mergers and acquisitions space, Meyerson has led complex transactions involving stock and asset purchases, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. He also has particular experience negotiating high-value contracts, including multimillion-dollar deals for Nebraska’s largest public utility, and renewable energy power purchase agreements totaling over 1,200 megawatts.

Meyerson also advises online businesses—including networks, advertisers, and publishers—on regulatory compliance, trademark and IP protection, and evolving e-commerce laws.

Meyerson earned his J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law with distinction and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Northwestern University.

He serves on the Board of Trustees at Temple Israel of Omaha (Immediate Past President) and the Board of Directors of Sporting Nebraska FC (Vice President).

Adam Charlsen focuses his practice on commercial real estate, development, and finance. He advises clients in the retail, restaurant, office, and industrial sectors on site acquisitions, leasing, due diligence, and complex development matters. Charlsen also works with lenders and borrowers on structuring and documenting loans and credit facilities backed by real and personal property.

In addition to his transactional work, Charlsen counsels local government agencies and districts on governance issues, policy development, and regulatory compliance—equipping decision-makers with tools that promote operational efficiency and mitigate risk.

Charlsen earned his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining Koley Jessen, he served as the office managing partner at an Am Law 100 law firm and worked as in-house counsel for a national non-profit corporation.

Charlsen is active in the Omaha community, having served on the Board of Directors of Angel Guardians, Inc. and the School Board for St. Wenceslaus Catholic School. He participates in various committees and initiatives at his church, and volunteers his time coaching youth soccer, basketball and little league baseball.
