Nebraska Tax Reform
In January 2013, Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman introduced legislation that would abolish the Nebraska income tax and establish sales tax as the State’s primary source of tax revenue. While the legislation has been withdrawn, there are ongoing statewide discussions of tax reform by governmental and industry leaders, business owners, nonprofit organizations and private citizens. We are closely monitoring and participating in these discussions. If you would like to receive updates from us regarding the status of Nebraska tax reform and be included on our invitation list for educational seminars if a tax reform bill is signed into law, please contact Jessica Kinnersley at jessica.kinnersley@koleyjessen.com or (402) 343-3837.
