Overview
As a trusted partner and counsel, Peter Langdon works with companies in all aspects of employee benefits, including nonqualified deferred compensation, qualified retirement plans, and health and welfare benefits as well as general employment law matters. Peter is able to navigate the complex legal aspects of executive compensation, employee benefits, and employment law while simultaneously explaining those complexities in a clear and concise manner. He understands the importance of finding creative and effective solutions to complex problems.
With a primary focus on employee benefits, including nonqualified deferred compensation, Peter guides his clients through the rules and regulations governing nonqualified plans and employee benefits more generally. This encompasses qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefits. He has extensive experience in advising clients with deferred compensation packages, incentive compensation, and equity ownership. Peter consistently advises companies on the operation and maintenance of qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefits.
In addition, Peter provides insightful counsel to companies and human resource professionals regarding federal, state, and local employment-related laws across the country. He is adept at drafting and reviewing various employment-related agreements, including employment agreements, severance agreements, and non-compete agreements. Beyond this, Peter offers strategic advice on general labor and employment, as well as employee benefits matters in the context of transactional activities, such as buy-side due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
