Max Burbach is the Chair of Koley Jessen’s Real Estate, Environmental and Natural Resources Law Practice Group and is also a member of the Firm’s Banking, Financing and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. In his real estate practice, Max has represented developers, owners, landlords, and tenants with respect to office buildings, mixed use centers, strip centers, and other commercial, industrial, and warehouse space. In connection with such representation, Max has advised and assisted clients in the acquisition and financing of their projects, including seller financing, bank financing, and life insurance company financing; drafting purchase and sale agreements and leases; negotiating construction and architect contracts; leasing and pad site sales; negotiating and implementing easements, covenants, and restrictions; sales of completed projects; and ancillary contracts associated with the financing, development, operation, management, and sale of such projects. Max also represents lenders in the preparation and negotiation of commercial and agricultural credit facilities, promissory notes, security and collateral documents, and ancillary loan documents. Max has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America 2011-2013 (© Woodward/White Inc.) for his work in Real Estate Law and Banking and Finance Law.
