The discussion will include nuances on the specific requirements of each law, including new rights for data subjects, the obligation to perform data protection assessments, and restrictions on data sharing and data transfers; tips on implementing a privacy program that is compliant with all new U.S. laws; guidance on addressing requests from data subjects, tips for measuring risk and avoiding regulatory scrutiny with the large amount of new requirements coming into play next year, and other helpful advice when devising a privacy strategy for your company.

D&O Fiduciary Duties in the Zone of Insolvency | 45 minutes

Directors and officers often become the target for blame (and, thus, claims) when a company is close to, or in the zone of, insolvency. This CLE will review the fiduciary duties of loyalty and due care owed by directors and officers, discuss when creditors may enforce those duties, analyze the impact of bankruptcy or insolvency on existing D&O insurance coverage, and provide practice guidance to directors and officers to shield themselves from liability.
