Jacob S. Walker

Jacob “Jake” Walker assists clients in the healthcare industry through his knowledge of the vast legal, ethical, and regulatory issues that providers, suppliers, and facilities face daily.

Jake’s practice involves counseling clients in the healthcare industry with regard to general business and corporate governance matters such as entity formations, employment agreements, and buy-sell transactions. Jake also navigates clients through compliance issues that industry actors frequently face, including fraud, waste and abuse rules, HIPAA, Information Blocking rules, and the No Surprises Act.

In addition, Jake provides due diligence and compliance counseling support to our data privacy and security team. This includes support during M&A transactions through identifying and evaluating potential data privacy and security issues that arise, such as compliance with existing (and future) data privacy and security laws.

Jake’s previous experience working as a medical assistant gives him insight into the inner workings of the healthcare industry. He is committed to delivering clients results so that providers can concentrate on delivering quality care to their patients.
