After a month and a half of committee mark-ups, amendments, votes, and finally a conference, both houses of Congress have passed an identical Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (the “Act”) and President Trump signed the Act into law on December 22, 2017. The Act is the largest tax overhaul since the Tax Reform Act of 1986, and there are numerous and significant changes. This program will provide a high-level summary of the changes for the taxation of individuals and businesses.
