This presentation will discuss the ethical considerations related to the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools by both in-house and outside counsel, including a discussion regarding the recent ABA Formal Ethics Opinion 512 “Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools” and the type of generative AI tools that are available and their ethical implications. The presentation will also include a discussion regarding the protection of an organization’s attorney-client privilege when dealing with third parties, such as accountants and public relations professionals.
