Koley Jessen Elects Three Attorneys to Shareholder
Koley Jessen announces the election of Alex Clauson, Nate Patterson, and Jackie Ryan to the role of Shareholder, effective January 1, 2026.

Alex Clauson is a member of Koley Jessen’s Corporate Department, providing strategic counsel to businesses from formation through growth and exit. He advises private equity and venture capital firms, founders, and management teams on entity formation and ownership structuring, start-up financings and growth equity transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and complex commercial contracts. Alex also frequently serves as outside general counsel to emerging growth companies, guiding day-to-day legal needs and long-term strategic initiatives.
Nate Patterson practices in Koley Jessen’s Estate, Succession and Tax Department, working closely with individuals, families, business owners, and their advisors on estate, business succession, wealth, and tax planning strategies aligned with personal and financial objectives. Drawing on his background in agriculture and business ownership, Nate regularly advises family businesses and farms on wealth transfer, asset protection, and tax-efficient succession planning.
Jackie Ryan is part of the firm’s Employment and Labor Department, advising employers on a wide range of workplace matters. Her practice includes employment compliance, employee relations, and risk management, as well as supporting the employment aspects of business transactions. Jackie works closely with business leaders to address sensitive and complex employment issues, providing clear, practical guidance in high-stakes situations.
