Summer Associates Join Koley Jessen
Nine summer associates have begun working at Koley Jessen and will be with the firm until mid-August. Four are returning for their second summer at the firm and five are new to Koley Jessen this year.
“Our summer associate program is an integral piece of our recruiting and training programs at Koley Jessen,” says Mike Hupp, President of Koley Jessen. “The firm utilizes this program to fulfill our entry level hiring needs. It allows us to find top tier students with an interest in starting their career in our fast-paced, client service focused firm.”
Returning to the firm this summer are second year summer associates are Annie Hartnett, Carter Lowman, Alyssa Stokes, and Julie Ward. Hartnett attends the University of Iowa College of Law, Lowman attends Creighton University School of Law, Stokes attends the University of Nebraska College of Law, and Ward attends the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
Joining the firm as first year summer associates are Taylor Cammack, Mitchell Ferris, Casandra Langstaff, Jeff Story and Lucas Whited. Cammack, Ferris and Story attend the University of Nebraska College of Law, Langstaff attends Creighton University School of Law and Whited attends the University of Iowa College of Law.
“We are thrilled to have these nine outstanding law students on board for the summer,” said David Goeschel, Recruiting Committee Chairperson. “They will participate in three rotations during the program, which provides the opportunity to gain exposure to several practice areas. We strive to provide real ‘hands on’ experiences such as attending court hearings, trials, depositions, the closing of a transaction and client meetings, in addition to legal research and writing projects.”
Koley Jessen’s summer associates will be matched up with a mentor who will be a resource for them throughout the program and will be a part of training sessions aimed at providing them practical examples and experiences. They will also receive feedback on their work as they cycle through the various rotations. This experience helps the students determine what areas of law are of interest to them and helps the firm connect with high-quality entry-level attorneys.
