Overview
With a thoughtful and pragmatic approach, Austin partners with individuals, families, and business owners to develop estate plans that reflect their values, goals, and family dynamics. His work emphasizes practical solutions tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
Austin advises on foundational estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance health care directives. His experience also includes post-death administration, such as probate proceedings and the preparation of Nebraska inheritance tax and federal estate tax returns.
His practice extends to advanced wealth transfer strategies, including the design and implementation of dynasty trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), and irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs). These structures are crafted to minimize gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) taxes while preserving family wealth across generations.
In collaboration with business owners and family offices, Austin develops comprehensive multi-generational planning frameworks designed to sustain long-term success. His work often includes entity formation, structuring and implementing buy-sell agreements, and coordinating strategies that align estate planning with broader business and legacy objectives. Austin regularly partners with tax advisors, corporate counsel, and trustees to ensure seamless integration across all facets of a client's wealth and governance structure.
