Overview

By working with the Koley Jessen team as well as a network of foreign associates, Catherine Petersen ensures that every client has the information and guidance they need to protect their valuable portfolios of intellectual property. She works with clients of all sizes and has handled a myriad of issues facing trademark and copyright holders throughout the world, with a focus on providing outstanding results.

Catherine is an essential member of the M&A team, performing intellectual property due diligence, identifying issues and helping to resolve such issues.  She works closely with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, other administrative agencies and counsel on both sides of the deal to accomplish the seamless transfer of intellectual property from seller to buyer.

Catherine is also passionate about giving back to her community through her volunteerism with TeamMates. A seasoned traveler, she speaks multiple languages and is constantly exploring new ideas, cultures, and communities. As a graduate of Iowa State University and a veteran of the New York legal community, Catherine contributes a unique viewpoint based on her knowledge and experiences that allows her to work seamlessly with clients and partners.
