Overview

A longtime community advocate for immigration reform and immigrants, Kristin Mohrman’s career is dedicated to helping her clients navigate the complex and ever-changing immigration process.

Kristin is experienced in complex removal defense, asylum, family petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, VAWA, U, and T visas. Kristin is fluent in Spanish.

She has been an invited speaker at a number of local and national immigration law conferences and was previously an adjunct professor of Immigration Law at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Recently, Kristin established the Immigration Court Representation Project. The project provides funds for indigent clients to secure legal representation in immigration court, bridging the gap between pro bono services available through the private bar and non-profit organizations.

Kristin worked with former Congressman Ashford and Congressman Don Bacon on the Kerrie Orozco Act, a bill that would expand protection to immigrant spouses of first responders killed in the line of duty. The bill is named after Omaha police officer Kerrie Orozco who was killed by a gang member while working; Kristin represented Kerrie’s husband and family members through the process.
