Koley Jessen Welcomes Three Attorneys to Its Litigation, Corporate, and Employment Teams

| Firm News

Koley Jessen is pleased to welcome Jessica Weborg, Carlye Patterson, and Blake Huffman to the firm.

Jessica Weborg joins the firm as Counsel in our Commercial Litigation practice, bringing nearly a decade of experience representing individuals, businesses, and organizations in civil and commercial disputes, including insurance-defense matters. She is known for a practical, steady approach to helping clients navigate challenging situations and has handled a wide range of litigation matters throughout her career. Jessica is also active in the Omaha legal community and is passionate about serving on nonprofit boards that give back to the region. She earned her law degree cum laude from Creighton University School of Law and her B.A. with honors from the University of Montana.

Carlye Patterson joins the firm as an Associate in our Corporate Department, where she supports clients on a range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions. She brings a dynamic blend of legal training and real-world business insight to her work—drawing on nearly a decade of operating row-crop farms in Iowa and working with federal programs through the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Farm Service Agency. This agricultural, entrepreneurial, and regulatory perspective helps Carlye think commercially and connect legal recommendations to their practical impact. Before joining Koley Jessen, she counseled clients on product liability, mass tort, and commercial matters at a large national law firm, giving her early experience with complex, multi-party issues. A graduate of Drake University Law School, she earned her J.D. with high honors and a Certificate in Business Law, along with undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Studio Art Painting.

Blake Huffman joins the firm as an Associate with our Employment team, where he counsels employers on workplace and employee-benefits matters. He helps organizations make informed decisions about their workforce and benefit programs by clarifying legal requirements, identifying compliance risks, and translating complex ERISA and related regulations into practical steps. Blake’s work includes day-to-day counseling, policy development, and strategic guidance designed to support employers as they navigate evolving employment laws and benefit obligations. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law and his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Central Florida.

Koley Jessen is excited to welcome Jessica, Carlye, and Blake and looks forward to the perspective they bring to the firm and the clients we serve.
