Overview

Katie Runge’s practice encompasses all facets of employment law. She specializes in drafting and implementing employee handbooks, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Katie frequently prepares employment-based agreements, including separation agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and confidentiality agreements.

Katie regularly assists employers with workforce management, including both large-scale reductions in force and individual employee separations. She has experience defending clients before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Katie advises employers on matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). She also provides employers with counseling on day-to-day employment issues, including employee discipline, training, terminations, and wage and hour compliance.
