Nick O'Brien to Take Part in Inclusive Communities' LeadDIVERSITY Program

Koley Jessen proudly announces Nick O’Brien as an Inclusive Communities’ LeadDIVERSITY Advocate.

In its fifth year, the LeadDIVERSITY program welcomes a cohort of 24 participants, each contributing to the program's mission to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Midwest Throughout this ten-month program, advocates immerse themselves in comprehensive training sessions, gaining profound insights into anticipating diversity and inclusion needs in workplaces and communities. This program, which includes workshops on identity, institutional inequities, ethical leadership, and more, is designed to empower advocates with the tools and skills needed to effect change within their spheres of influence.

According to Alex Wolf, President of Koley Jessen, “Nick's participation as a LeadDIVERSITY advocate showcases his dedication to advancing diversity and inclusion within Koley Jessen and the broader community. His involvement presents an invaluable opportunity to contribute to our ongoing diversity initiatives by sharing his learnings through scheduled firm lunch and learn sessions, fostering an environment of continuous growth and understanding.”

Since the establishment of the LeadDIVERSITY program in 2019, Koley Jessen has consistently demonstrated its commitment to this initiative, having a representative in multiple cohorts. Notable participants from previous cohorts include attorneys Comi Sharif and Tina Struck, as well as Director of Talent and Culture, Chastin Bailey.

O'Brien serves as an Associate in Koley Jessen’s Estate, Succession, and Tax Department. He offers a comprehensive range of estate planning services, from fundamental plans such as wills, power of attorney documents, and trusts, to intricate strategies for wealth transfer and business succession. His expertise extends to providing essential guidance during the probate process, offering advice on trust disputes, guardianships, conservatorships, Medicaid planning, and other challenges arising before and after death. Additionally, Nick supports clients in establishing charitable entities within their estate plans, ensuring sound governance for long-term objectives.
