As a former journalist, Maureen Fulton knows how to ask the right questions to get to the heart of the issues at hand and address each client’s needs. She enjoys a diverse practice and works with clients on commercial litigation matters, trademark and brand protection, and data privacy and security compliance.
Maureen focuses her litigation practice on disputes involving contracts, intellectual property, insurance coverage, and construction. She handles all aspects of litigation, from case assessment, through discovery and trial preparation, to appeals. Maureen’s experience includes a variety of matters, from defending a $3 million trade secrets lawsuit, to bringing a $1.2 million insurance claim, to handling a $500,000 contract dispute.
She also assists clients in obtaining and protecting their brand and intellectual property rights and has experience in developing data privacy compliance programs which encompass national and international data privacy laws and regulations. Additionally, Maureen assists clients with compliance in marketing and sweepstakes contests.
Before joining the firm, Maureen worked as an attorney for the City of New York. While in law school, she worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael H. Watson, U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Ohio.
